Four places available on this unique and special trail to join a group from the UK on a hiking tour on the Western Cape. Sometime known as the Tierkloof Trail, based in the Gamkaberg Nature Reserve near Calitzdorp, the BBC rated this trail as one of the top 50 trails on any hikers bucket list. Special feature – overnight in the shepherds shelters and vew the Swartberg and the Outeniqua Mountains from the top of the Gamkaberg.

Day 1: Overnight in the luxury ‘glamping’ Eco Tents, under the stars. Enjoy an evening braai and socializing.

Day 2: We walk up the Tierkloof Valley, with its unique rock formations and overhangs, climbing out late in the day to reach the top of Gamkaberg, with views over the Outeniqua Mountains to the east and the Swartberg Mountains to the west. We overnight at the shepherds shelters, eating our evening meal in the natural rock shelter ‘kitchen’.

Day 3: After a short loop we re-enter the Tierkloof Valley to walk back to camp by mid-day. Heading for home with special memories.
